Super compact, and fits a ton of flies! Only negative is the middle piece that moves is a little flimsy which can make it hard when adding a ton of flies, but it still works fine. Great fly box, really helps if you’re trying to be more minimalistic and save space in your chest/sling bag.

This is a lightweight box that is pretty thin and arrived with a couple of minor dents. I don't think it will be as durable as my other fly boxes. It is a friction closure and I'n not sure if the box will stay closed after a fair amount of use. I do like the dragonfly design but I would like it more with a better closure system and and if it were a little thicker.material.

There are 34 flies of different sizes in the pics with plenty of room for more. There are small slots in the foam to slide the hooks between or you can hook them into the foam but that will put more wear and tear on it. I have flies of different sizes and generally have dry flies on on side and bigger/wet flies and poppers on the other. The case easily fits in my chest pack. This was a good acquisition.

Yes it is a nice fly case, roomy enough for a multitude of flies. You can grab the "tray" tab and push it in but you can't disengage the tray to open it because the catches are way too long. I had to get a tweezer to pry the catches apart (Picture 2). Therefor, to solve the problem, I filed away much of the plastic tray catch on the tab (picture 3) so that I could now open the lid once it was closed. The plastic catch on the case and the "tab release" on the tray were too long so you could not access the bottom layer of flies. Problem now solved but maybe this was just a manufacturer defect. I solved the problem and now it is a great case.

This fly box is small and should be able to easily fit into a vest pocket or wader pocket. The mayfly is printed onto the box, and it looks nice. The box is about 3.5x4.6", and is made of a decent quality aluminum material. Mine arrived with no dents or damage, so that made me happy, since it was sent in an envelope. The foam insert should have plenty of slots for many different fly fishing adventures.
