The straps I received are not as shown in the pictures. The webbing feels on the lighter side of what I expected, and has some strings and loose strands hanging out. The ratchets seem to be OK. I think these are fine for light use, but I would certainly not trust them for 5000 pounds.

The straps are great, easy to use and feel sturdy. The actual straps do feel a bit light weight, but as long as it can hold up, shouldn't have any issues!I actually prefer the J hook style compared to others, them alone feel much stronger as a tie down point.A+!

Rated at 5000 lbs and I have no reason to doubt it other than the stitching just LOOKS visibly weak to me. I could be totally wrong as it's not based on any failure or scientific observation, just on a gut feeling. Anyway, I'm very unlikely to be using these anywhere near their published limits. I have these massive thick and wide industrial ratchet straps for anything that is even remotely a heavy load that I'll be using in those cases. The straps come tightly wound and there is no way I could get the straps to totally relax the tight curl in the end. Everything looks good and they look about like any of the others I've had in the past. Decent "standard" straps. For heavy duty I'd look elsewhere.

The ones I received are not the same as those pictured - I accidentally boxed them back up before taking pictures, but they are the same as the other reviewers that have posted pictures, thinner and beige in color.I ordered these to help tie down a camper that we are hauling across country on a flatbed trailer across country. I had hoped these would be a good strong strap, so I could order more, but that is not the case. We will use them in addition to much stronger ones, and not attach at any point where we are concerned with failing.I really wish companies would advertise exactly what they are selling to avoid situations like this - especially when they do not offer free returns!

I’m disappointed with the ratchet - as the metal isn’t terribly strong. These ratchet straps will work for light duty jobs, but I wouldn’t rely on them for heavy duty jobs.

I had to go back to the product page for these ratchet tie downs after receiving them, and I feel the description and claims about them are very misleading. For starters, the tie downs I received look nothing like the ones pictured. The straps are a different color, not a big deal, but the material of the straps also appears very different. The ones I received are very loose woven, as opposed to the images of typical tightly woven nylon, and I tested them in some water to see if the claim that they are water resistant was true. They soaked up the water like a sponge. The description also has a typo claiming 50,000 pound (yes, it says fifty-thousand under the detailed description) break strength, whereas in the title of the product it claims to be 5,000 pound. Either way, I do not feel these numbers are accurate and I would simply not trust these over the generic 1 inch straps you can get at the local store in a for pack for $20. The stitching on the straps is mediocre, with loose threads and loops throughout. Lastly, the ratchet itself, which also just feels cheaply constructed, is an awkward size. For this price I feel that the ratchet should have rubber or plastic grips to make it more easily functional, as the bare metal is very thin and difficult to release once these straps are under tension. If these were on a clearance rack for a few dollars, I might pick them up, but for the price and quality here, I would find an alternative.

These work quite well and appear to be very strong. I'll never test them at their rated capacity, but it's nice to know how strong they are. I got these for when my 1" ones just don't quite make the grade, and it was a good choice. I'm not a big fan of this hook style, but I understand that most carabiners (my preferred attachment method) and some other hook styles don't have as high a load rating, so I went with them anyway.

These appear to be really cheap. For $25 im sure that isn't a bad deal but compared to something more expensive generally, these are not for anything heavy duty or even much more than using to hold down some lighter weight items in your pickup truck. The metal buckle for the ratchet isn't very sturdy even for a 2inch wide strap size, and the straps appear cheaper build quality than in the photos, or for any I've ever seen ever except the cheapest tractor supply style you get in a multipack at the store.
