These will be used as a part of a club fundraiser. They are strong enough, but someone destructive could easily break them. The wood is smooth, so should be easy to paint. One could probably write on it, too. Would be great gift bag items for a party.

I used these with my Girl Scout Troop to do a craft and they worked out perfectly! We only needed 8 frames and I'm glad I had extras because one of the frames was not able to be used. It was also a little tricky to get a picture in the frame. But they look super cute and were perfect for crafting with first graders.

I decided to check these out for my business. A bit smaller than the usual 4x6 size I've looked at before, but same general construction: two different peices of wood laser cut and glued together, with a third peice used for backing. All three peices may or may not be the same type of wood, changing their color.Out the pack, 2 were not glued together correctly and 2 were warped, one way beyond my ability to use.Engraving went pretty smoothly, as did painting, which I'm happy about. Losing 1/3rd of them due to defects however, I'm not happy about. Probably not going to buy this brand.

These are great to decorate any way you see fit whether it be painting, decoupage, resin, jewels or anything else you can imagine. These are perfect for kids as well as adults and make nice gifts after you’re done creating. You get 12 frames so totally worth it. Keep in mind that they do not contain glass or clear film to protect your pictures once inserted.

I needed a craft to do with my daughter's Girl Scout troop, and these little frames were a good value. The price ($28.97 at the time of this review, or a little over $1 per frame) is comparable to similar frames I found at my local craft stores, but these appear to be of higher quality. A lot of the frames I found at craft stores in the $1/frame range lacked the hinging back stand. The stand and swiveling clips on the back move smoothly but stay in place. The craftsmanship seems pretty good on these frames, with smooth edges and no splinters.Obviously these are not high-end frames, but they are great for kids to decorate. The only downside is how small the opening is - while 3x5 photos were pretty standard when I was younger, it seems like 4x6 is now the default "small" photo.

These were perfect for crafting with my toddler. We used some leftover acrylic on them and they turned out so stinking cute. I didn't prime them or anything, I just let my toddler finger paint right on them. I do wish there was glass or plexiglass inside the frame, but it is what it is. It's still a great value. These would be great for the classroom or a kid's party.
