Brief Introduction to the 24W Hide-A-Way
This light is made from a solid aluminum housing and is coupled with a heavy-duty polycarbonate lens. The STU-HAE is available in five popular warning colors: Amber, White, Blue, Red, or Green. The kit comes with the hideaway strobe, a surface mount flange, a rubber pad for surface mount applications, a rubber sealing gasket for installations in vehicle light housings, two screws, and an 8' cable. The LED hideaway light is followed by a 1' cable and the in-line controller box. After the controller box, there are 8 more feet of cable for your convenience.
Method for Operation
There are four colored wires at the end of the cable pigtail: Red, Black, White, and Green.
Red: +12V to +24V
Black: Vehicle Ground
Green: Alternating Sync & Dimming
- Connect the green wire of selected units you want to alternate to Positive (+).
- Tap the green wire to Positive (+) 3 times in quick succession to change between Low [30% output] brightness and High [100% output] brightness settings.
White: Synchronization and Pattern Selector
- Touch the white wire to Positive (+) to advance the flash pattern forward one.
- Connect the white wires of units that you would like to synchronize, then hold them all to Positive (+) for three seconds to reset all of their flash patterns. Select your desired flash pattern.

Dimensions
The aluminum base measures 1.48" in diameter, the flashing head is 1" in height, and the polycarbonate lens is the industry standard 1" in diameter. The cable between the light head and the in-line control box is slightly over 1', and the lead wire to the control box is 8ft.
