Large and heavily made. The paint job was sloppy and not very well thought out when painted. The idea of the pin was well thought out but everything else about it was not.

Bought this for myself and it is actually pretty good looking. It is not a stick pin, but has the bobby-pin(?) thingie on the back. It works for me.Go Navy!

I'm writing this on behalf of the person who received this as a gift. Since this was for a retired sailor, I thought this was cool enough to give them. So much so, I got one for myself. However, the reason this got so low a score was for this reason: the uniform on the officer is completely wrong. That's not their attire; the one on the other sailor is correct. That detail may seem minor for most people, but for those who are currently serving in the Navy, or have retired, this is a detail that's not forgivable. The only reason this is getting 2 stars instead of zero is because the overall thought was a good one. Good intentions, but poor attention to detail. If this was corrected in the form of a better design, such as the correct attire for a sailor and an officer, this would have been 5 stars across the board. Sadly, it's not.
