Purchased a 128 Mb and a 256 Mb to bring my HP LJ 5500 up to the full memory allowed. Arrived quick, installed. Printer wouldn't get past memory check. Worked fine with either module alone. Figured out my slot #2 was either bad or there was something weird with the printer (I've had this happen with computer motherboards too!). So put the other in slot #3 and volia! Printer starts and works great.
