Works great with melamine bookcases and shelving units. It will help sturdy and stabilize units together. Material seems good and white finish looks good.

I don’t have much in the way of complaints on this item. They feel sturdy and attached with ease and are helping to hold my little project together. Screws were perfect for my 1x6” wood and the multiple sizes worked well with longer joints and places that needed a little more than the small brace. Only qualm I had was that there were 7 of each of the smaller two braces instead of 8 and 6 but I wasn’t looking for pretty or symmetrical in my project so didn’t matter too much.

These are typically known as mending plates, designed for hidden repair of furniture or cabinets but also can have many other imaginative uses. Since these, along with the screws, are stainless steel, they can be used outside and in marine applications. When installed, the 67 screws (#6 by 5/8 inch) are slightly proud of the plates, which is typical in screw to countersink sizing. If you need flush screws, a #4 flathead will get you closer. In mm, these are 36, 46, 56, and 76 in length, 16 wide, and 1.7 thick. These seem to be adequately thick as I couldn't bend the 76 length using both hands. The well applied and thick coating appears to be paint and not powder coat. The one inch hex insert bit is a #2 Phillips with a cross ribbed tip which makes it stick well to the screw. Nice storage box.Furniture designers or decorators might use these on the exterior of cabinets in a fashion inspired by Japanese Tansu.

It’s hard to get excited about hardware, but this 26-piece set of white stainless steel straight brackets really impressed me – both in form and function. The white coating blends in nicely with my furniture and walls, which is a huge bonus when you’re trying to maintain a clean look, especially in an older home where little repairs and reinforcements are always needed. These braces are solid, well-made, and have worked great for stabilizing shelves, bed frames, and wobbly chair corners. I also love that everything comes packed neatly in a compact box with screws and a bit included – makes it easy to grab and go when you’re mid-project.

This is a really handy set to have around for small repairs or reinforcing furniture. I used a couple of the brackets to secure a wobbly shelf and they worked great—sturdy and easy to install. The white finish is a nice touch if you're working on something that’s already painted or light-colored, and the included screws match, which is a plus.There’s a good mix of sizes and the included bit makes installation quick. I haven’t tested the full capacity, but for general home projects, this kit is more than enough. Nice to keep in the toolbox for when you need it.

Love this set! You need to understand that we live in a 98 year old house. Our furnishings have been acquired to complement the home and so many of them are quite old, as well. Along with that comes loose joints and wobbly backs that can be a challenge to repair. These braces are perfect for so many applications like these! They aren’t too big, yet they are very strong. They are evenly coated white and I love that even the screw tops are white to match the braces. The screws are long enough to bite in really well; and this even comes with a bit for your drill!It’s also really handy that these come in a little storage box. Perfect for a quick grab off your workbench when you need to get a project completed.
