Pure junk! Flimsy materials. Difficult to extend to assemble first time (had to use plyers), and then doesn't lock. Don't buy it!

This worked great all winter and durable enough to last the whole season. I used it all winter and it held up. It’s light enough that my kids could comfortably use it too. I loved the extendable handle. I appreciated the foam size so I don’t have any accidents scratches on my white paint from using it on the body. I am so grateful for the foam side. Surprisingly, it’s still going strong. It’s stored and waiting to be used next winter.

3.5 stars. At least for my area.Decent and not terrible. But rather troublesome to use compared to most others. The twist-lock style to extend the handle (as well as get the shaft out the first time so you can assemble it) can be a pain to use like most that style. If you twist it too much you can have issues, as well as if you don't tighten it enough you may have it sliding back together when you try to reach out and scrape. It IS made out of aluminum and plastic, so that is good as it won't be rusting like another extendable one I have. The foam sweeper part is a good idea for certain uses. I found it was best with a little bit of snow that wasn't frozen to my car, or a few inches if it wasn't too wet. Over about 3", or if it was wet and heavy it was not as useful as my other brush that has bristles. Made fast work of an inch of snow from one storm, but when there was 5" on my car from an overnight storm, it wouldn't get down in the snow and pull it off, it mostly skimmed along the top part.I haven't had to do much ice scraping this season, but the scraper side seems decent and good quality. Although, it didn't snap into place or anything for me, so it comes off easy when you pull if you want to take it apart to store it.Overall the scraper is good and the sweeper is ok if you have a little snow. If you have snow frozen onto the car, you need bristles to "scrub" it off if you don't want to use the narrow scraper on the whole car.I think I would like it more if it was pre-assembled and not collapsible, even though it would be slightly harder to store in the car I think it would be better

I waited awhile to review because I really wanted to try this in the frequent and heavy snow we get in our state-- but of course mother nature didn't cooperate and all we have had is some ice so far this season. I will update on how it handles with snow, but the scraper works well for ice and the length is good for the added reach, although it isn't exceptionally long with the telescope adding only several inches to the overall length. The scraper was sturdy and cleared the windshield just fine. The foam flap (which replaces the normal brush) might work okay in snow, but it didn't work well to clear off the ice that had been scraped free and collected at the bottom of the windshield around the windshield wipers -- for that it was fairly ineffective.Putting it together was fairly easy as the ends of the tube are slightly different in size and only fit one way. It comes in three pieces (the telescoping tube, the scraper and the foam end, along with a carry bag). I think the idea is nice that you could break the scraper down into its parts and store it in the bag between uses (and so it doesn't drip all over the car after use). However, in order to use and to be able to apply enough pressure to scrape, you really need to tighten down on the center part once the telescoping tube is at the length you want (otherwise the scraper rotates with pressure). I had to have my husband do this to make it tight enough. So, for this reason, it isn't something that I would regularly take apart and store in the bag; not to mention that, though easy, I don't really want to take it apart and put it together every other day (it snows here frequently). Now, in the spring and summer, it would be nice to pack away in the back of the car OR if you live in an area where you only needed this for a rare event -- then it would be nice to just carry in a small bag in the car rather than having to keep a large scraper in the car. But for frequent snow areas, I wish this just compressed down into a size small enough to put into the bag without having to take it apart. So good scraper; foam end isn't too effective if you are needing a brush; and carry case is convenient for off-season storage or for storage for emergency use only, but not really practical for areas where snow is a daily event.

I was initially excited for this to arrive. I actually got it for my mom who recently got a smaller car and her old snow brush takes up too much space now. Upon arrival, it was clear that it wasn't worth the price tag it had.The "brush itself" is just 4 pieces of cheap foam attached to each other and I could see them easily getting bent. There is no way this little brush would hold up with the amount and often wetness of the snow we get here (northern Idaho) on a regular basis. Additionally, we couldn't even get the brush together. You would think this would be pretty self-explanatory, but we ended up needing directions, to which we found there are none on the bag it comes in or online. I partially think we received a defective item after seeing other reviews since it looks like the extendable part is supposed to easily come out. On the brush we received, the smaller side doesn't budge at all no matter how much you tug on it. Due to this and the nature of the brush piece (the way it attaches is slanted), there is no way to get the brush securely onto the handle.Overall, if the quality had been more impressive, I would've tried to return it and get a new one because the size is great, but with the clear lack of quality there really is no use for it and it will most likely to into the trash. Super disappointed and would not recommend.
