I got this to repair a handbag I had crafted out of buffalo hide that was gifted to me on Pine Ridge Rez... The braided deerskin handle I had made for it needed these exact tools to reattach it properly. I'm not a huge leather crafter, but was gifted other pieces as well, that now I feel more confident to create treasures with using this kit.

So I grabbed this to have on hand as I like to do leather crafts and in case I have something that needs repaired. It's a decent basic little kit. I can't see me ever using the rainbow or the lime neon green threads LOL, but I will the others. This has all the basics you need to get started doing some leather craft sewing. It doesn't contain a rotary hole punch, or items to skieve, burnish edges... that's not what this kit is. It's a basic leather sewing kit.All the items seem to be of good quality and should last awhile. It's always possible to break needles or awl tips though, or they get dull after awhile... but these should serve you well to get your feet wet into leather crafting. There's a nice assortment of thread colors too. This thread/needles could also be used to repair upholstery and sew canvas.Regular price $ 24.99 per the listing isn't bad, but maybe watch fort a sale/coupon, browse listings...As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.
