Just what I needed for the stackable washer/dryer in my condo. Due to the fact there is no drain in the area, I purchased the no hole model. This pan is well built and will hold a fair amount of water prior to spilling over. My hope is that are we catch a problem before it becomes a problem!

Recently had this pan installed underneath my washer...it is sturdy and worth the price giving me peace of mind in the event of any leak from washer or washer hoses....got rid of the old plastic pan...

We have a 7 year old Maytag that had a tub bearing leak. Our old plastic tray had a hole in it and we ended up with a ruined floor (never ever use laminated flooring near any water source). After fixing the main leak in the washer, there was still some tiny spillage when the washer is filling the tub - we can live with that since the stainless steel pan is present. The only difficulty in installing is insuring that you don't crush the walls of the pan with the weight of the washer as you place the washer on the pan. We made judicious use of (2) 2x4s screwed together to act as protection (balance point) along side one of the pan walls as my wife and I slowly levered the washer into position.

Attempted to drill a hole through the bottom to fit over drainage pipe...after attempting to drill with titanium bits, a step drill bit, and two stainless steel hole cutting bits, I still could not penetrate a small hole through the stainless steel metal (I hoped if I could get a guide hole drilled then the cutting bit would work and slice through the metal). Took two days working on this and watched several YouTube vids on how-to drill through stainless steel to make sure I wasn't overlooking something obvious. And yes, I used cutting oil initially and then switched to water...neither was successful. I used a handheld drill with 20 volt battery pack (relatively powerful), but didn't have a table drill press, so that might make a difference. I seriously considered taking my 12 gauge shotgun out with a slug and blowing a hole through it, but figured it would leave jagged edges, etc., plus I live in the suburbs and that would be frowned upon by local law enforcement. After calling it quits (with a dimple in the steel, but still not penetrated, and a broken bit and several dull bits, I finally bought a plastic washer pan and had it drilled and installed in 5 minutes. Worst $175 I ever spent considering time and tools required for no success, but if you can figure out how to make a hole in it (assuming you need a hole), it's very sturdy and high quality...just a little too high quality for my needs (and I never thought I'd hear myself say that!).

I purchased this product to put under free standing, exterior, gas firepit that was being placed on a wooden raised deck area. I wanted something that would not rust and that would act as a dead air space insulator between pit and decking. I flipped it upside down , added brick pavers for support under it, and set pit on top it ....it worked PERFECT, both myself and my client were VERY pleased. I had only ONE complaint and that was in the shipping and handling. The product was bent and dented due to mishandling, had I wanted to use it for what it was designed in an exposed area I would had to return it... NOT THE FAULT OF SELLER!

The metal Pan in 36”x 36” and is high quality and super sturdy. I have the biggest lg washer and it gives several inches of clearance. The pan will hold just over 14 gallons of water giving me enough peace of mind to contain all but a catastrophic continuous leak from water source. Due to the amount of water it can hold, I chose not to drill a hole and connected to the pipe in my wall for drainage. This made installation a breeze as I just set the pan on the floor and set the washing machine inside the pan. I looked and looked for a pan that fit my washing machine specifically and could not locate one Until I came across this metal pan. I’m happy I went this route as it looks much nicer than one of the cheap plastic pans and gives me peace of mind that if someone steps on it accidentally or hits it with their foot the pan won’t crack.

The product is well constructed. Only suggestion to buyer: Make sure you add rubber slip guards on the bottom in several places, before you install machine, if it's a front loader and NOT stacked, as the machine walks 3” out during spin cycle. (Bummer) If your unit is ‘not stacked’ I would guess the added weight would probably keep it in place. Precautionary, a good idea as preventative measure. Our contractor built a folding table above machines. He had to pull the washer out and slip under the metal pan a rug slip guard, then cut it to size.To the manufacturer, it would be nice if you added rubber slip strips on the bottom of your product to prevent ‘unstacked front loading machines’ from ‘walking out 3”+ during spin cycle.
