So a little disappointed here. Bought this to fix my 2007 bmw e83 x3. The thing arrived and I put it in without checking. Well I still had my 3 lights on indicating an issue with the actuator. Well I took it off again today to make sure it was the right one, sure enough the connector is a 6 pin and not a 7 like it needs. Useless in my opinion. Will buy from reputable source now.

Seems to be the worm gear motor quit the plastic gear was in good shape but the motor was grinding when turned by hand. Not sure after-market is worth it for this part.

I was getting the dreaded Brake/ABS/4x4 lights and all wheel drive not working on my X3. Rather than replace the worn gear that causes this, I bought this motor. It was cheap enough to just replace the whole thing. Works great so far.

I was a little skeptical at first. This item is about 1/3 the price of even discount online auto parts sellers. And about 1/5 the price from BMW. I installed the part (super easy, by the way) over a month ago and it still works great.

I purchased the transfer case last April for $133 to replace a failed transfer case on my 2008 BMW X3. I installed it as soon as it came in and it was working fine. Then two weeks ago, I’ve noticed the trifecta again. The Abs, brake and 4x4 lights, they all came back on. So I figured that the actuator failed again. I am going to find out if it still under warranty since it has not been a year since I’ve purchased it. And If it’s not, I guess I threw $133 by the window, or unless anyone believes that the 7 months of lights off are worthy of the purchase price. In any event, Had I known this part would only last 7 months, I would spend it in a different part.

Great product worked well, fitted and did everything it should. To get the car to stop fault coding after replacement I had to wipe all codes, disconnect the battery then wipe them again. Then good as new. For some reason fault codes wouldn't disappear before doing the above procedure. Thanks
