Works as it should. Would prefer side crank rather than top.

Check how your tanks sit. You need more space than ou think to spin the handle

I ordered this as a replacement when the original BAL tongue jack on my 12 y/o travel trailer failed. At first I thought all these jacks were the same diameter (2.25 in) so I went to my local RV supply store and picked up another brand that specified it was 2.25 in diameter. When I tried to install it, it fit through the top hole in the frame but not the lower hole! I went back and measured the outer tube on the old jack and it turns out the original equipment BAL jack was 2.20in not 2.25in diameter. Rather than grind out the lower hole in the frame to accommodated the slightly larger diameter of the jack I purchased, I took a chance and ordered this BAL jack, hoping that it also was 2.20in diameter and not 2.25in as advertised. When it arrived I immediately measured the diameter and sure enough it was 2.20 inches. I've read other posts on the internet where people had problems getting their replacement jacks to fit, this probably explains some of the issues. I'm just happy it'll fit but it would be nice if they corrected the advertised specs.

I bought this jack to replace the one on my toy hauler due the older one not working corectly anymore. This jack works great, it lifts the camper very nicely, and easily. The old jack was rated at 2000#, so this one is definitely an upgrade. The one thing I didn't think of is the handle being on top. When I turn it to lift the camper, it hits the LP Tank cover. This is rectified by swiveling the handle upwards and turn it until there is pressure, then I turn the handle down and continue with half turns (if that makes sense to you). Other than that, the jack works great...
