This review is for a set of 2 artificial Cypress/Cedar shrub sized trees sold by Mavis’s’ Diary sold for 59.99. The listing gives their height as 24” however this is somewhat misleading. Overall from end of the 9.9” ground spike to the top of the greenery is 32”. Once in the ground or in your pot of choice the visible parts of each plant are 22” high. Of that 22 inches 4” are trunk. The greenery of this small cedar shrub is about 18” in height, and about 15” wide at its fullest diameter. As a designer and home stager for second homes, I frequently purchaser faux plants for interiors and exteriors. Realism, true scale, and quality are important, so my reviews focus on those features. How you fluff and arrange the greenery and branches of faux plants is always critical to achieving a realistic resemblance to the growth habit of living plants. To this end, this manufacturer has included good foliage arrangement directions, hints and photos to help the buyer achieve the best look that doesn’t scream “unnatural”. I applaud that, and assume it really boosts customer satisfaction if following natural growth habits are new to them.Since I am not new to plant arrangements to achieve a natural look in faux plants, i can say that it takes some time and patience, sometimes taking a break to come back with fresh eyes if things seem off or incomplete. These plants come with natural looking greenery in appropriate colors to young cedar shrubs, but they are somewhat more sparse than the real thing, so getting branches and the leaves spread, shaped and separated, ie “fluffed” for more fullness and proper branch angles while maintaining their natural upright growth habit. I found that as a final fine tuning, softly sweeping/shaping the feathery branch tips in a gentle sweep upwards as if they are reaching for the sun, while the branches are at about a 60degree angle from the trunk. This helps things look fuller as it makes the trunk less visible. I found that I didn’t have any “leaves” come off their stems or branches by fluffing each branch with its stems separately and gently while spreading and shaping the smaller “leaf stems” once the main branching were where I wanted them.Despite being plastic, the greenery truly resembles cedar/cypress in shape and color without the “too shiny” look of some plastic. Boxwood are shiny, cedars are matte with a fresh look. These look good and appropriate. The price for the quality seems reasonable, but a sale price of 49.99 would make them a real bargain.I will be using these as filler evergreens in a narrow planting bed between a fence and walkway where shade and poor drainage don’t favor evergreens. Once they have seen a few seasons I will update with any disappointments.

This set of 2 trees arrived neatly boxed. Upon opening, all branches and leaves were intact. The bases are light weight since the trunk is snapped into the (included) spike instead of a weighted pot. They stake into the ground which is quick and easy and the branches don 't flake or fall out which is a plus. They have an upward growth pattern so if fluffed too much can reveal the core. When placed, they look realistic and offer the look of living plants.

Use right out of the box. Gently shape, add the stake, stick in the ground or add to a planter and instant greenery! I ordered these faux bushes for my small covered front porch. They look real from a distance but you can tell they aren’t with a closer look, which is ok with me. I appreciate the fact I don’t have to water daily. They do seem a bit delicate since a couple of the tips of the branches broke off while shaping them. Also they are a bit smaller than I expected. However, I think they are very nice and I would recommend them.

I have cats. most indoor plants are toxic to cats so it’s really hard to decor my house. This is a great solution to those who have pets that like to chew on your houseplants.Shipping was fast and the product is exactly as described. 5 stars

These are okay from a distance, but close up they do not look as real. The plastic leaves have a slight shine to them that gives them away. Also, the tips of the greenery come off very easily. They warn you to handle them with care, but I was still surprised how easy they come off. If one comes off and you did not happen to notice where it came from then you have to hunt for the branch. If they come off so easily, why don't they do something about it? At $59.99 for the two, I do not think this is a good price for the quality you are getting. I ordered some cedar artificial bushes just like these which were better quality and $4 cheaper.
