THIS IS NOT DW30 - IT IS ACTUALLY DW30E. Crucial difference for anyone buying for unencrypted panels. Apart from that, product arrived on time in good shape.

Is was skeptical of the claimed range, it it works great.The mounting bracket is thin molded plastic, held on by one screw. I ended up using zip ties to attach it to the gate. If you actually bolted it to the gate, it’s obvious it would snap off at the screws the first time it was bumped.I will try to fabricate a metal mounting bracket, so it can be properly attached to the gate post

I wanted an outdoor sensor I could use on my driveway security gate. It needed to be water proof for outdoor use and able to use screws to secure it. This DW30 is perfect. One thing a little different is that the gap can be up to two inches separation between magnet and sensor on wooden mount surfaces, although 1/4 inch is optimal such as recommended on indoor sensors. My gap is about an inch and works perfect even mounted on metal posts.The sensor and magnet attach with furnished screws even though I used slightly thicker ones. The sensor housing has a tamper switch on the sensor housing cover so that if it is tampered with a tamper alarm is triggered. Programming the DW30 to my 2GIG control panel was just as easy as all the other sensors. Two lithium ion AA batteries were included. I love that it is black, can be painted if necessary, and is big and stout for my application.
