The pole saw looked like it would hold up very well in use. The first time I used it I was thrilled with it. I liked the way that you could use it two ways. One as a pole saw and the other as a hand held saw. I also liked the idea of not having to lug around a cord like I have to do with my other pole saw. You would have to make sure you were close enough to an outlet in order to trim a tree and with 7 acres, we don't have a plug by every tree. However, on my second use of the pole saw the handheld saw snapped at the base of the trigger where you attach the battery. This happened while attached to the pole and I was cutting off a branch. It is now worthless as a pole saw because when you attach the handheld saw to the pole it wants to fall to the side where it is broken at the base. You can still use it as a hand saw though.I gave it 3 stars because I liked the cordless option and the two ways to use it. I found it very useful while I had it, but I have other cordless chain saw to use for cutting on the ground. I needed the pole saw for trimming trees. They should not have made the thing out of cheap plastic where the trigger meets the battery base. it should have been reinforced with metal so this wouldn't have happened. I believe they could make this saw to last for years with the right engineering.
