Most Raspberry Pi camera cables are fairly short, often 6” or 150mm at most. Some applications don’t require the camera to be very far away from the Raspberry Pi, so shorter cables are fine. But when you need to put the camera somewhere more than 6” away, you need a longer cable.Further, the Pi Zero uses a different cable from the one you’d use with larger Raspberry Pi computers, and longer Pi Zero cables are harder to find. This package includes a 16cm Pi Zero camera cable and a 30cm Pi Zero camera cable. You get the flexibility of two lengths in one package.Having a longer ribbon cable also allows more flexible placement of the camera. One drawback of ribbon cables is that you can damage them with sharp bends, but if you have a long enough ribbon, you can avoid those bends.I really like how well made these cable appear. They are clean and consistent from end-to-end. There is some maximum physical limit (I don’t know what that is) to how long such a cable can be before the signals degrade, but at 30cm, the longer cable still performs perfectly.

These are good. I'm not sure that paying more will get you anything better

This little guy saved my raspberry pi camera! I was afraid the whole camera module was dead, but it was actually just the tiniest defect on my old ribbon cable that caused the problem. This new ribbon cable is a more compact design and seems to be very sturdy. Working very well so far!
