For those who use LC-E17 batteries, you likely already know they don’t last a full day of shooting—spares are essential. This set provides a cost-effective alternative to name-brand options, without sacrificing quality.With this kit, you get two batteries and a charging station at a lower price than the main brand manufacturer. Not only do the batteries hold a strong charge and perform on par with name-brand versions, but their look and feel are just as premium.The only downside is that these batteries are recognized as DR-E18 instead of LC-E17 by the camera. Because of this, the camera doesn’t display an accurate battery life and will shut off once the battery is depleted. However, this is a common trade-off with third-party budget-friendly batteries and shouldn’t deter you, given the overall value of this set.

Good value, but charger is cheap plastic and feels light compared to OEM. Also, you need to use a cord to connect charger to an outlet rather than having a built in outlet plug. When you charge the batteries that came in the package, a “Charging” light turns on. When the battery is fully charged, a “Full” light turns on. The problem is the “Full” light doesn’t shut off even if you remove the battery. The only way to shut it off is to either charge another battery which illuminates the “Charging” light again. Or unplugging the charger. As far as longevity of the batteries, only time will tell.
