Of the dozens of corkscrews we've owned over the years, these are probably the MOST heavy duty we've ever owned. They feel thick and substantial. The hinge is satisfyingly stiff, and they work great!

My daughter mentioned she needed a new wine opener when we were struggling with the usual wing type. This professional grade wine opener came with a pack of two. They’re a good heavy quality and the hinges work smoothly and well. I was delighted the corkscrew part is sturdy enough so it won’t bend. The recessed small curved knife is perfect for cutting the foil top of the wine bottle.

Nothing to dislike here -- just, subjectively, I would prefer a wood trim than hard black plastic, and the entire corkscrew is on the heavier side. Picture shows it (on left) compared with the thinner and lighter Rabbit corkscrew (my preference). Screw appears to be sharp and inserts into cork easily, but cannot advise on longevity at this point.Hard to beat the value of 2 at $9.99 though -- assuming you need two!

Sometimes it's the little things that count and that is the case with these corkscrews. The curved shape is comfortable to hold, the curved knife mimics the shape of the bottle making it easy to cut the foils, and the double hinge makes it easier to extract the cork. These features combined with the solid construction and a price of only $10 for 2 corkscrews make these an excellent purchase.

Looks and feels well built, will survive more than a few bottle openings. For us, this will be the "backup" opener that we'll take with us on trips. Did a great job opening the bottle as well.

I don't use a corkscrew often, so I can't attest to how well this one works or not. I got this set to have on hand for visiting wine drinkers who may need one. What I can attest to is how heavy and sturdy this one is. It seems well made and durable. The cork screw itself, firmly locks into place when pulled away from the handle, making it much easier to screw into a cork. I never knew there was such a thing as a foil cutter, but I can see where this would come in handy. The bottle cap opener is on the end, just grab it and pop that top off. I'm really pleased with these and I'm sure they will last a lifetime.

This is a great value for a set of 2 corkscrews - and they even include a built in foil cutter! The corkscrew is well made and solidly built, easy to use, and easy on the hands for opening corked bottles. works just as well on cork and non-natural corks, doesn't tear apart the cork, and provides enough leverage to extract them easily. highly recommended.

The attention to detail and appearance of quality is apparent from the moment you open the shipping package. The box is sturdy, and the opener(s) are nestled in foam cutouts to ensure safe travels. The foil cutter is both curved and serrated, making removing the foil a simple and safe process. The hinged lever allows for a perfect angle during the entire process for those longer corks. Lastly, this wine opener is very solid and well made - no wiggle or concern about using it over and over.I've included a picture of a standard wine opener for comparison. With the Averzella (on the bottom), the lever is slightly longer than the 'standard' wine opener, foil cutter is curved to hug the wine bottle and is serrated to easily slice thru the foil, and the handle is more comfortable as it is shaped to fit your hand in case you're opening multiple bottles. Lastly, the beer bottle opener isn't pointed and is easier to use.A basic wine opener like the one I used as a comparison costs about $8 ... Right now you can get this two-pack of Averzella wine openers for $10. I'd recommend you buy this before the 60% tariffs price increase take effect ;-) !!!
