This 3/4-inch check valve works as expected. I used it in a boiler circulation loop, to prevent the backflow of water through 3/4-inch PEX tubing. The push-fit connectors gripped the PEX tubing well and has not leaked, under 70 PSI of pressure, in over a week.If I needed another check valve for potable water, I would definitely order another one of these.

It connected easily to the 3/4-inch PEX piping I was using, creating a secure and leak-free fit with minimal effort. Finding a good backflow valve for low flow applications is extremely difficult, and they work OK for that but are really meant for higher pressure applications. Having said that this one does seem to work reasonably well for what I needed.I recently re-worked my basement sump pump system and since I am pushing water up from underground, the original system would allow about half the water to run back into the pump well. So a backflow check valve seemed like the answer. This one is pretty easy to use and install. Once you have the correct size for your PVC drain line, or inflow line if thats how you are using it, and slide the PVC pipe into the valve. It locks into place securely and does not leak. Attach the other side and you are ready to go.For my sump pump application, I do get a small amount of back flow before the check valve closes, but its quite a bit better than before. My pump only has to push the water out once and its done for a while until the well fills up again.This thing is pretty well built and comes with a tool to easily remove the PVC piping if you need to. You don't really need the tool, but it is easier to disassemble if you have it.It's a well built check valve that works pretty much like I need it to.

These work so nicely for non-plumbers! No need for all the extra tools required for traditional pipe soldering like my dad did. These work with any KIND of pipe as well, so you can join that old copper pipe to a new piece of pex with ease and without issue. It's well made, lead-free brass, perfect for drinking water and water installation in an RV. I really appreciate that the disconnect clip was included (for those of us who are kind of new to all this).I gave it only 4 stars simply because I can't find the cracking pressure listed anywhere. (the minimum pressure differential needed between the inlet and outlet of the valve at which the first indication of flow occurs). I can't blow through either end, so I don't think this valve will serve my intended purpose of preventing backflow on a drain valve.

I use 3/4" "push-fit" check valves on my apartment building buffer tanks to prevent backflow from the buffer tanks to the utility water company. They work great and I see absolutely no difference between these high quality brass valves by HeSun and the ones from the big box stores except for the price! This was easy to install and use, the outside is made of brass material, the seal is provided by o-rings, the check valve is made of a spring loaded plastic ball/plunger that easily opens in one direction and closes in the other. I didn't see any leaks when using this.
