If you don't have these little terra cotta discs you need to get them. This was a total game changer for my brown sugar. You soak the little disc in water, let them set for a minute for the residual water to soak in then put them in your brown sugar. Next time you take your container out you will still have moist brown sugar that measures easily. I was glad it came with a set of 2 because I have regular brown sugar and Splenda brown sugar. Both kinds of sugar remain soft and ready to use. When they came my brown sugar was starting to get hard and after putting the disc in, it actually saved my brown sugar and softened it. The disc's are small enough to soak in a coffee cup filled with water. They are thick enough not to be fragile but I wouldn't drop them on the counter. These definitely cut down on waste.

Just as pictured. However, did not come with instructions on how to use. Googled it, no problem. Now my brown sugar is so much easier to use!
