I needed a resistor to go between the ignition switch and exciter on a 2 wire alternator. For that you need a 10 watt, 10 ohm resistor, which is exactly what these are.These are seal which I like. I've seen some where the wire inside is exposed so it gets rusty and fails. Not these. They are sealed.Great item

Yep, I got these to provide a load in place of a speaker for testing a tube amp. A 10 ohm, 10 watt load is plenty for a small amp. And doubled to make a 20 ohm load is plenty for a little extra safety, or to drive it a little harder. The resistors are a good size, a little smaller than most power type resistors I’ve used in the past. No issues with overheating. The metal tabs at the base were likely made to have clips slide on, but they take solder well too.Recommended, and not just for the intended purpose.
