These brackets are very strong and sturdy. Installed them on my trailer to tie down various things while I'm out on jobs and to keep things in place while in motion. Have gotten a couple extras since.

Just finished installing these swing brackets onto the ceiling of the wrap-around deck of our 1800s Victorian farmhouse, to hold our new porch swing. My wife has always wanted a quality Amish-made porch swing and now she does, and it's swinging back and forth on these clamps smoothly and confidently. I merely found the studs, marked, and pre-drilled the holes and used the wood screws to set them in place with an impact drill. Easy peasy. Considering that they are made of SS, I expect them to last for decades to come.

Heavy duty stainless steel porch swing hanging kit. Includes the hardware you will need to install these hangers. The finish has a brushed chrome appearance and looks great in conjunction with a porch swing chain. These are rated at 2000 lbs so you and your Honey can kick up your heels and not worry about these giving way. Easy to install, and function as they should. Good value for these swing supports. Just make sure that the support screws are in solid material so they won't pull out.

I will be using these to suspend a swing, under an arbor. The stainless steel is definitely necessary for the damp/wet location. And the hanging brackets are heavy weight, ensuring they can carry more load than the swing itself will be rated to hold. For the price point, the hanging brackets are an excellent value. All other heavy weight brackets I saw had a higher price point. Definitely recommend for this type of use.

They list "up to 2000 pounds" of load capacity. Any time that you see this kind of phrasing, be suspicious. The "up to" might as well be "up to 10 tons". What I want to know is what was it actually tested to.Unless you are drilling through a structural I-beam or plate steel, I would not risk any more than about 500 pounds on this. It's not the rating on the shackle, it's more a matter of what will the floor/beam/ceiling support before the rip out a floor joist of tear out a rafter.I will be installing this through a floor and a piece of plate steel and bolt it through all of it.The floor joists are I-joists, so I know that they will support 1500 pounds, each, before they deflect more than 1/4 inch.No lag bolt and certainly not a concrete anchor.
