Bad design. I have an older type that covers the whole plug using the option for either a full three prong or simple two prong covering it well. I needed a cover for a two prong. The plastic cover's female cavity is too small to fit a regular two prong plug exterior, far from having any ability to grip it. The design should have been two slots & one cavity for the ground pin combined with an outside cover. Don't purchase this product. I now have to search for a better product.

Because they are made of hard plastic they don't fit properly over block heater plug., nor will they keep out road spray and grime. They should be made of rubber or silicone.

As commented by other reviewers, both of these items snapped off at the tether end within a few days of exposure to cold overnight temperatures:( Since the cap end fitted well onto the 3 pin engine-block plug I didn’t discard it but cut off the loose bit and drilled a small hole that allowed me to install a looped nylon tie (as shown). The combination works well (so far; Jan and Feb lie ahead). This purchase although inexpensive is NOT RECOMMENDED. Duh!!JH Toronto
