I needed some replacement blind-spot mirrors for my car as the old ones fell off. I wasn't quite sure if these would fit my '09 Camry's mirrors, but I took a chance.The installation is simple: clean the upper-side of your mirror's housing with a mild solvent, make sure it's dry, peel off the backing to the adhesive strip on the blind-spot mirror, and stick it on the car's mirror housing. I chose a somewhat warm day to ensure the adhesive would stick, and really applied some firm pressure for a while.They work, but then it's hard not to make this sort of thing work. My main concern is that we have extreme differences in temperature through the year - 100F and humid at the worst, -40F at the worst. This is harsh to adhesive backings and is why I've lost two sets of blind-spot mirrors in the past. Time will tell if these will last any longer.Given the price, I think I might expect just a bit better materials. No, that's not carbon fiber. It's a carbon-fiber pattern pressed into plastic. It's silly. The plastic isn't particularly hard or stiff but it's not very robust either. I don't know if I would buy these again. I don't need or want carbon fiber. I just want something that feels like it will stand up to things better. I have to knock them down a couple stars just on the difference between price and build quality alone.If they stay on the car, the rating stays at three stars. If they fall off, the rating will plummet. I'll be sure to update my review if that happens.Edit - 8/13/2024I'm revising my rating up a star to four stars for now. While the materials still don't scream "high quality" to me, there are some things that I've noticed that make me consider the higher score.First, I have really appreciated how good a field of view these have given me. The adjustable mirrors allow me to really choose where my additional visibility is. This not only helps in traffic, but helps immensely when backing into a parking spot or negotiating tight spots.Second, I have to think these have some sort of hydrophobic coating on them. There are NO spots on them despite them going through several rain storms. They just stay clear and water runs right off of them. This is so important for something that you need for visibility.Do I still think they could be lower priced? Yes. Do I think they are very helpful? Absolutely.
