This beat my expectations. I’ve been using my finger or a traditional 3-1 caulking tool from a big box store to finish caulk jobs but this bested both of those. Where it excels is with odd contours, like between brick and brick mould around a door, etc.

This caulking tool kit gets the job done, but it’s nothing extraordinary. The tools are decent for small projects, but they feel a bit flimsy, and the finishing isn’t as smooth as I expected. The removal tool works, but not as effectively on older caulk. It’s an okay set for occasional use, but if you’re looking for something more durable and precise, you might want to consider other options.

I'm in the midst of a basement remodel, which means that I'll have a bunch of caulking for all the trim. Typically when I'm caulking, I just use an old credit card cut to an appropriate size to tool the caulk, but the hard plastic sometimes doesn't do as great a job conforming to the surfaces I'm caulking. So, when I saw these (I've seen people use them on DIY videos), I figured I would give them a try. These are made from a slightly softer plastic/rubber, so I think they'll do a better job of tooling the caulk, especially on variable surfaces (though I do wonder how they will hold up over time with the wear and tear given they'll be dragged across textured drywall surfaces, tile, etc.).I like that they come with a variety of shapes, both rounded and 45 degree. Some of the corners seem really large--like the large quarter round corner is at least 1/2" in radius. I never want a caulk joint that big, so I would have preferred to see these tools come with a narrower set of radii on the corners. Maybe it's just me, but I like to try to get as tight a caulk line as the joint allows.I haven't put these to the test yet since I'm just beginning to install the trim, but I'll update my review once I actually use them. That said, one of the tools has a bit of a deformity in it from where the plastic was injected into the mold, resulting in that side of the tool having a protrusion. I'm hoping that it won't affect usability.

These are perfect, my husband can never get his caulk straight around sinks and edges of counters. This makes the job easy, and he really loved how quickly they cleaned up with some soap and water.Flexible, but not flimsy, the different sides help you to get the right angle. Press it against your edges and rotate to see your options, apply a line of caulk, and scrape clean with this, and you'll have a perfect clean line.Each edge does something different, so keep that in mind when looking at what you'll need to accomplish the task you're doing.Of course, works best in areas where there's one flat edge to go along.

I like all the different options for the type of edge you want. It’s like a rubbery plastic material. Part of me wonders if the silicone ones are better
