I really like the way the light shines to show the personalized design that I chose. My big disappointment is that the lights do not automatically come on when the car door is opened as you would expect. When I open the car door, I have to lift the light up from the holder and put it back in to make it illuminate, which defeats the purpose of having puddle lights. This is so disheartening because my car is already equipped with puddle lights on the front doors and I ordered these personalized lights for the back doors. I was so excited when I saw how bright and clear the display was when I placed the lights on the doors, but that quickly faded when I opened the doors later on and nothing happened.

Great design and super bright. Be sure you have a good spot picked out to project. The horse is cool and there are a few other nice designs but the horses are very nicr

These are good for elderly people, well, anyone who needs a little extra light at night. Lining up the pieces is a little tricky.

Over the years, I have had several vehicles that had puddle lights that lighted the ground outside the driver and front passenger doors when you opened the door at night. Although the latest two vehicles I purchased are more upscale, neither has these puddle lights, that I though were a nice feature on my older vehicles. I think that these SPOBODY rechargeable car door puddle lights will fill the bill nicely. They are like a mini slide projector, where you can insert these special slides and project an image on the ground when you open the door. The model I am reviewing came with 3 sets of slides featuring a galloping horse, an ominous skull and an American flag, but if you don't insert a slide, you get a very bright white light, which becomes a nice puddle light.The units are very clever in that they have a photo sensor that determines if it is night or day and only turns the lights on when it is dark and a reflective IR distance sensor that keeps the light off when the door is closed, but turns on when the door is opened and nothing to reflect is within reach of the sensor. I am installing these on the driver's door of my two vehicles and am using gaffers (duct) tape to hold them in place until I have determined the best location to attach them with the provided double sided tape. So far everything seems to be working OK, but I don't know how long the battery will last in routine service. Fortunately they are very easy to remove from the mount for recharging, but make sure you mount them so that you have room to slide the module up to remove it.From the information on the Amazon website it would appear that there is some way to get a custom made slide with your own image, but that information was not available with the set I got. I am converting this SPOBODY device to a puddle light for a practical application, but I can see how dramatic it would be with an projected image for a custom car.

These lights are not very bright. They are easy to install. The Adhesion is good. I ordered the blue horse, but you can barely tell that it’s a blue horse. Performs under my expectations.

Lights are nice and bright. Love that you can recharge them and not worry about replacing batteries. Once you get the sensor mounted properly they work well. If your image is backwards, just flip the projection slide around.

Cool concept and definitely an upgrade from the older style.. I have a Jeep Wrangler and the old style didn't quite work right. I like that this is rechargeable and slides out of the base..However... the image is backwards SMH.. can't read what it says unless you are dyslexic I guess... if they could get the image right, this would be PERFECT!EDIT: The seller contacted me after writing this review and refunded my money.. most cool of them. Thank You
