I don't really know what these diamond disks are intended to be used for but I found the 3000 grit perfect for sharpening hardened tool bits and the grinder just doesn't cut it. they look pretty well-made so I'm hoping for good longevity.

I use these with a 1/2” arbor attachment along with a backing disk on my wood lathe. Turned at a fairly slow speed of a few hundred RPM, it does a great job of sharpening lathe turning tools, woodworking chisels and plane irons. I use a little water to keep it from clogging. Now I just need to get the 2000 grit disk to get a finer edge. Good value, recommended.
