The finger in each bag helps scrub the shoe. To maximize the scrubbing action, I put only one shoe in each bag. I put in tennis shoes that are 22 years old and have never been formally washed. It's a good time to test these bags out. Well, I did two washes since it had been a long time since any care was done. After both washes and a long dry, my 22-year-old shoes are so clean I don't want to get them dirty. The wife thought I bought new shoes since they did not look like the old ones.I used the included spring shoe tree for the shoes, it holds the vamp up and stretched out so the shoe will not curl to dry completelyWorth your consideration.

This has been super useful. I like keeping my shoes clean and the easiest way for me to do that is to throw them in the washer. I can now wash them and dry them without the loud, annoying clunking sounds as the inside of the bags are cushioned. My favorite part is there are two sets of expanders which help keep the shoes shaped during the washing. There is a set that is ideal for kids and women’s shoe and a set for larger shoes such as men’s. Each can be adjusted for the perfect fit.

I machine washed a pair of men’s size 9 wide tennis shoes in these bags with the adjustable support forms inside them. That didn’t go well because the shoe forms banged the washing machine and the zipper opened up so the shoes fell out of the bags. Now that I have looked at the listing again, the instructions say that the forms help keep the shoe shape AFTER washing, so I have washed another pair without the forms inside. That went better, the shoes didn’t bang hardly at all and stayed in the bags. With the pull tab under the zipper cover at the top one bag didn’t open and the other didn’t open enough for the shoe to fall out. The forms are useful, but during drying after washing. They seem to have slight curves that makes them for a right or left shoe respectively, but the curves are very slight so I am not sure.One of the reasons I ordered these bags is that they came with adjustable forms. In the past it was necessary to stuff tennis shoes with crumpled paper (newspaper in the old days) to hold their shape after washing, then letting them dry naturally. I wouldn’t recommend putting shoes with the forms in them in the dryer because the forms will bang the dryer like they did the washing machine, also the shoes may shrink. This happened previously to a pair of my tennis shoes in the dryer and I couldn’t wear them anymore. I just dry shoes naturally now near a heater vent.These shoe bags are very large but the zipper wouldn’t close with 2 shoes of that style in size 9 wide, so I used both of the included bags. Our large washing machine is front loading and it leaks when a small load is washed on the regular cycle. The machine instructions say to do smaller loads on the short cycle and on warm this worked well, the shoes came out very nice and clean. This set also included 2 sizes of shoe forms, which is nice so I can wash my size 7 women’s tennis shoes. I can get 2 shoes in one bag in that style and size shoe. The results are much better and easier than hand washing.Based on my experience, I am comfortable recommending this shoe washing set, keeping in mind that the bag may come open if the zipper tab isn’t under the cover at the top and may come unzipped anyhow if the shoes are heavy.

I'm a sneaker head and like to keep my kicks clean. I find shoes that are not leather or suede can be much harder to get and keep clean... until now. This is very easy to use, you put the shoe shaper in the shoes, throw them in the bag, then throw the bags in the washing machine. You shoes come out looking almost new, can't do anything about the tread wear. So far the bags are holding up to the wash and spin cycles so that tells me these are of good quality. I say this is a must have for anyone that owns sneakers.

My favorite thing about this is how much it muffles the sound of falling shoes in the dryer. Its not quiet by any means but it does muffle the sound quiet a bit and for that I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.What I like:Keeps shoes together in the washNo issues with the laces getting all twisted. (On occasion Ive washed shoes in the wash and upon retrieval, Id found the laces pulled tight, wound up or in some other form of chaos. Havent had that happen with this.)Does a good job of cleaning the shoesMuffles the sound of shoes in the dryerWhat I dont like:You need to pull the zipper all the way through to the very end past the stopper thats been clearly added to prevent the zipper from moving. If not, the zipper will come down, and the shoes will come out.Did get some yellow fuzzy fly aways on shoes after coming out of the dryer. Maybe this goes away over time. Pulling yellow fuzz off my daughters blue shoes was a surprise. Came off easy but still.
