I was not able to to use the orings this kit came with. After tightening the axle plates down I was un able to move the wheels without loosening the plate. Taking the orings out enabled my tires to move freely. The "stock" o-rings on the Axial brand are MUCH smalled then the o-rings provided in this kit.

I slapped 1 in the SCX24, it has helped some on tight turns, and to set up for the next obstacle, along with settling the front suspension on steep inclines. It is not adding noise, and it went in just fine. I used only 1 O-Ring on the drive shaft side, non on the outside bearing side.

You like overdrive in your crawling rigs? Need a little help with pivoting on turns? Well this would help a bit. It's nice to be able to tune the SCX24 with these Overdrive gears. They work as intended and give you options for setting up your rig.

Machined well

Installed on a SCX24 Deadbolt. This is a slightly more technical upgrade for these trucks, but not too difficult to get done if you are familiar with working on them. There are some videos online that can help too since the parts don't come with any instructions. Don't forget to put some grease on them. Seems a little more aggressive with climbing now, so looks to be doing what it was designed to do.

After installing these gears, including proper shimming with the included o-rings, the tolerances/gear mesh were so tight that I had to turn the input with pliers to even try to see if they would work loose, I tried shimming in every possible way, with grease, no grease, same result. It's unfortunate because the material seems to be good quality, but they just don't work.

These work, and the improvement is noticable on my small course. The installation was a little tedious as the machining isn't perfect. If you know your way around these vehicles and have some experience, and tools you'll be fine.I don't know that other manufacturers are any better for a higher cost.
