Original OEM gear was stripped in the middle part of the teeth after 7+ years. Put one of these replacements in my Mini Cooper Countryman. Worked great and took care of my previous issues. Took the time to clean and lube all parts of the sunroof mechanism while I was up there. First gear worked for a month or two and probably 30+ openings / closings. Then broke in half. Just installed my 2nd one and it worked for about a minute before snapping in half like the first one. Now I'm on a search again to hopefully find a heat treated steel gear that will last longer than a couple months.......

The factory sunroof gear sheared in two on my C300, these were a perfect replacement, be wary that the factory sunroof motor has a ‘lip’ that needs to be grinded or sanded down before you can slip the new gear on! It’s worked ever since!
