Incorrectly described: this scribe is NOT magnetic and NOT safe for pocket carry. A true pocket scribe has a removable tip that can be inverted for safe storage with the point contained in the handle. See the General Tools model 83 pocket scribe or the Starrett 70A for examples that can be safely carried with their point inverted for storage in the handle. This scribe won't stow with the pointed tip in its handle: the manufacturer did not hollow the handle to accommodate the tip with its point facing inward.
