First and foremost, this will not show up in Google Home like the other posts mention. It does work well in the Tuya app and works well for automations in Tuya. The lux light sensor in both devices have issues, and the readings get stuck. The only way I have found is to power cycle it.I am working on setting up a Home Assistant server, which is why I chose this, along with the price point.

Initially they worked great - was also able to get it in to Home Assistant running locally. They were able to detect presence and motion as well as lux readings but within a few days the first sensor would trigger on/off constantly (even ignoring the reset delay) in an empty room in the middle of the night (yes the room was empty - no there were no lights or fans on, etc) so I moved it to an empty garage just to test further - same results. Moved it outside - again same results. Sensor eventually showed as offline - tried to re-pair it to Smart Life app and even locally a few times and it was not able to be found. The second sensor failed a few days later (was in a different location) - constant flashing of the LED's like it fell offline but was also no longer available in Smart Life or locally. Also not able to pair it up again. I am guessing it the junk wifi/bt module they use inside is overheating for the offline part but the random sensor triggers are just bizarre - again might be heat issue but that should not affect mmWave. I would return them for a refund but opening them up shows several useful parts that can be salvaged for other projects aside from the junk HLK-B36 wifi/bt module or maybe I will try replacing it with an esp32 just for fun. Avoid these unless you want to roll the dice and hope for the best.
