I have mixed emotions about this peg board. I love that it is a bright yellow, was slim in design and is metal. I hated trying to figure out how to put it up. I wanted something to organize various usb charging cables that could be easily accessed. This was the perfect color and size to squeeze onto a small space next to my desk. Had I known then what I know now about installation I would have left it and just stuck a corkboard on the wall with a bunch of stickpins. But it is pretty.

I'm using this peg board in my sewing room to hold my quilting rulers and rotary cutters. It's working out great for that. Installation was fairly easy. It comes with two methods for hanging. You could use mollies and screws. Or there are 4 clips that have 3 small nails in them (sorry, not sure what they're called). I used the clips with the nails for mine and so far it's holding up just fine. I wouldn't put anything heavy on it, but for lightweight items it's working great.

You put the pins/screws into the wall, and then the pegboard slides onto them. They don't provide a template for marking the hole placement, which is what makes installation difficult.What they should have done:My better pegboard has separate screwdriver holes on the front of the pegboard. The larger screwdriver holes (on the front) are located above the smaller screw holes (on the back rolled edge). This installation method lets you put screws in from the front of the pegboard. The front screwdriver hole is large enough that the screw head passes through the front hole, and then the screw snugs down against the back screw hole. And you even use an electric screwdriver/drill for installation. This installation method allows you to easily screw the pegboard to the wall (and to mark holes for any anchors), while the screws don't interfere with using pegboard hooks.Because these things are a pain to install, I deducted 2 stars.

The actual dimensions of this pegboard are 7 7/8" x 15 3/4"; the holes are a standard 1" spacing and are 1/4" holes. Because of the size of the holes, the standard 1/8" pegs will rattle around on the board and are in danger of falling out as you lift tools off the board. If you use 1/8" diameter pegs, then it is best to get some of those plastic retainers designed to keep the pegs in the 1/4" holes. The advantage of this pegboard being made out of steel though is that you can mount things on it with magnets. The board is well finished and looks good on the wall, you have to like bright yellow though.It is useful for a small project, but it would take a lot of panels to build a big pegboard wall.The horrible mounting system though means I have to reduce my rating by one star. Included are 4 plastic half-moon nail hangers which you have to pound into the wall at the four corners of the board to hang it. The plastic hangers have spikes in them that you hammer into the wall, be careful though, because you're likely to pound the whole plastic anchor into the dry wall and crush the drywall. There is no template included to show you where to mount these anchors on the wall, so the whole process is problematic. The pegboard is supposed to mount on these anchors via the 1/2" holes in the back flange near each corner. These are covered by the front plate, so there is no option just to use screws in the wall to mount the board as there's no access through the front for a screwdriver.I solved the whole problem by making a wooden ledge that I mounted to the wall and then just hung the board on top of it via the flange on the back. I lost the use of the top row of holes this way, but it didn't matter for my usage. Using this method it would be quite easy to mount a bank of them and get them to line up evenly. My wooden ledge was 6.5" long, by 1 1/4" wide by 1/4" thick, I put a thin strip of wood the thickness of the metal of the pegboard flange on the back of it so that it would stand away from the wall, leaving a lip to hang the flange over.

Has a lip of sorts so when you install it, it's not flush against the wall. This way, the hooks will fit in without hitting the wall. I use this for yarn cakes for my yarn that I am actively using. This is the perfect size for that use. Easy to install and use. Highly recommend!

I ordered two of these, one black and one yellow, and love both. They're solid, sturdy, and the coating has been applied with care. (I have a few similar pegboard systems from other manufacturers and have frequently found flaws with the paint.) When I ordered these, it wasn't immediately clear to me how the pegboard was mounted to allow space between the pegs and the wall. You can see the answer on the yellow panel in my picture: there is a "rim" that separates the pegboard from the wall.I'll be mounting mine with the included plastic anchors (or into studs), but the mounting hardware includes "holeless" pin mounts and even a small spirit level. At the current price point ($3.99), it's relatively cheap to buy multiple panels. I'm loving how these look in my garage but honestly, I wish I'd had these back in college--they would have looked cool in my dorm room. (Bonus points if you could get them in school colors.)

This pegboard is a fantastic addition to my workspace—it keeps tools organized and adds a cheerful pop of yellow 🎨 The mounting process was straightforward, and the board feels secure with all my items. Definitely makes finding things faster and keeps my desk clutter-free, hahah!
