The garbage disposal cover is 3 inches in diameter. The garbage disposal should be attached to the sink and then the splash guard should be placed in the sink so that it seals tightly, perfect for Insinkerator, Kitchenaid, Kohler, Waste King and more.
The garbage disposal baffle fits kitchen sink garbage disposals with a standard kitchen drain size of 3 1/2 inches in diameter. It can also be used as a sewer plug/stopper for non-garbage disposal sewers. The plug is easy to insert and remove from the sink drain.

Perfect. Moved into a new place where this had never been changed. ( it was horrifying ) this new one fit perfectly. It was easy as 1, 2,3. Remove the old one. Clean around the drain where the disposal is. Fits perfectly. Works perfectly to keep scraps inside disposal instead of splashing up through the water drain and anything in the sink or on the countertop. The top fits nicely to hold water in sink when needed. Very inexpensive.

The strainer part is perfect size for the disposal unit but the stopper is too large.I ended up using my original stopper and have no real use for the new stopper.

I got this to replace the one I had that ripped. The two have different designs - see picture.Ignore the fact that I got the wrong size - I didn't realize it. I had a 3 3/8 inch guard and the one I got was only 3 inches. It still fits but not securely and when I push food through it, it sometimes goes into the disposal with the food.I think I like the other design better because it allows more food to go into the disposal without having to push it through. That being said, the new guard is a lot thicker rubber and will probably last longer than the other one that ripped.
