Bought this to solve a specific problem with multiple cords that either have the prongs attached to a brick or a "downward oriented" cord leaving the plug. More than one such plug will not fit in a wall outlet, and more than two will not fit in many power strips (where the outlets are either too close together or oriented "top to bottom"). This particular adapter has one of the plugs oriented such that "down" is towards the wall, making it useless for three such cords which was my particular problem.

These revery useful. Able to use from a forward or backward plug. Enough rise to allow a flat plug to go underneath.

When you leave the States and travel abroad, you'll need a convertor for their electrical system. This block handles it well and having several outlets allows one to charge more than one device at a time, using your charging blocks. We currently are charging an iphone, apple watch and MacBook Pro, all of the converter rather than having to use three single outlet converters.
