I had one bad motor on the z-axis when assembling my Prusa i3 clone and it wasn't worth pursuing a replacement from the seller. I purchased these as they appeared to be very similar. I swapped out both z-axis steppers and replaced them with two of these and haven't had any issues with them working. The one thing I did experience was the connectors are different on these than on the originals and being hard-wired, I couldn't easily swap cables. The originals had white 4-pin connectors which were slightly fatter and these have a black narrow connector (sorry I didn't look up the correct names for these connectors). I had to flip the connector at the board and the wires didn't match the original layout but it did work without rewiring. However, the black connector has slightly larger holes resulting in a very loose fit and can work free over time. For now I've wedged them in (literally) but it would be wise to replace the connector with the correct type or buy different stepper motors if you need the white connection.

2 works ok but 1 doesn't. The bad one gets stuck at a specific spot in rotation and fails to rotate (starts skipping).Update: Zyltech Stepper Motors have the best torque per watts that I have found ANYWHERE on the net. These means they run cooler with the same required torque. I run my stepper motors in 60c to 70c environment and these seem to run the "coldest"Other than having 1 bad motor out of 3, These need to have a connector at the motor so the wire can be replaced. Most other motors have a connector at the motor to make maintenance and wire replacement easy.

These are ideal extruder motors. They have JST-XH 3S fitting on the wire ends, which is ideal for an MKS controller board (my favorite board). I manufacture and sell 3d printers (3dWrx dot com), so I need reliability, quick resupply, and good price. This is my go-to motor for extruder.I've bought two sets of these (6 motors) and very pleased.

Nicely built with a one meter connectorized cable. Fit into my Arduino project perfectly.
