The structure of this fireplace screen is solid and good quality. The design on the bottom adds style to what usually is a boring item. Our fireplace is an insert that sticks out a little from the original fireplace opening. The previous owners had sparks fly out and lite the carpet on fire so we needed a screen that had a smaller steel mesh to insure that didn't happen again. This one covers the front and side of the fireplace easily so the sparks and fire stay safely contained on all angles. The only down side is we have to move it more than we like to stock the fire but that's not a deal breaker considering the quality and other good design features.

This fireplace panel is a great investment - currently, the fireplace has the steel curtains that don't work all that great and the fireplace panel is such a nice addition. It is strong, stands well, covers the whole front of the fireplace, and is very well made.
