The crossbar is sturdy and ends are attractive. However, out of the six ends that were provided, my husband and I together could only get one end screwed in. We gave up and ordered a different crossbar.

What a pleasure to find such great quality metal posts with threaded metal balls - compare to cheap plastic tubes with push on plastic balls that don't stay on and plastic deteriorates over time mostly from sunlight. Good job!

We bought 4 boxes for a total of 12 individual cross arms. On every single one of them one end would screw in properly with the silver bal, but the other end where the threads were, were out of line and off centered. On of the cross arms I had to use a large wrench to FORCE screw in, which scratched and put little dents on the silver ball. Even using the wrench was very exhausting and aggravating. My last three cross arm threads were so out of line for the silver ball ends that neither side would screw in. Not even using the wrench. When I emailed the company asking for three more they replied with a generic statement as if they didn't even read my comment or look at submitted pictures. No wonder they were quite a bit cheaper than everyone else. If you buy, you've been warned.
