I have a 30 year old hayward pump and skimmer assembly and have trouble finding parts for it. These fit my old skimmer housing perfectly. The handle is a little flimsy, so some care is necessary when removing but the basket itself seems built to last.

These skimmer baskets are the perfect fit replacement for my Hayward pool pump. My old one had cracks in it and was showing lots of wear. These new ones are the same dimensions and quality and should do the job just fine.The only difference I noticed (as you can see in my picture) was that the top rings of the older basket were much larger than the new one. I assume these rings held the crossbar handle that makes it easy to remove the basket. On my old basket I just grabbed the rings as the crossbar was long gone. If the crossbar breaks on this new basket, it will be much harder to remove the basket as the rings are so much smaller. Other than that one possible future issue, these baskets fit and work just fine.

While these baskets work fine they are not built as good as the real hayward baskets. Keep an eye out for them to crack.
