I use this relay on a 50 HP, 3 phase, 480 VAC motor and it handles the start up and run current with out a problem. The motor starts and stops about every 10-20 minutes and if off for about 2 minutes. The unit works with out any problems. I mounted on the inside of the control box and used heat sink compound to provide good thermal contact. The side of the box where the relay is mounted does not get hot during operation.
