I fabricate quite a few concrete items like counters, thresholds, and even tiles. I go through polishing pads. I am impressed with the thickness and heft of this trio. The amount of grinding/polishing material far exceeds the norm. They're expensive, but so far they seem well worth it. I'd have to find some way to measure how much time it takes to grind one down a specific amount compared to another pad, or how many square feet it will polish. Seems like too much work; I can tell that they appear at first use to be pretty durable. These are obviously for smaller pieces as the pad is too small for covering large areas efficiently.

As a hobbyist in Lapidary work, I use a "Wet Grinder" which allows a water hose to supply water through the center of a 3" or 4" Grinding wheel or polishing pad. Given that these do not have a center hole for water flow, I drilled one through the center of the resin wheel, and through the Velcro backing. I probably dulled the drill bit by doing so, but I wanted the water flow come through the wheel instead of having a separate water line that might cause distractions. Doing this worked perfectly for my needs. I have not used them in their intended device, but I was pleased with how well they worked, even with my modifications.

I own a stone restoration company, so resin pucks are a necessity. I frequently order from EDiamond Tools and love their line of resins. We attach these to the floor machine and use them to hone. The 100 grit helps with deeper scratches, so we start with this grit on heavily damaged floors. They work wonderfully on everything from travertine floors or marble countertops. Great quality and reliable.
