I don't have any disadvantages on this item. Nice and wide 3 in strap at 8 ft long. Does an excellent job at saving the bark if you're trying to winch off of a tree. It also can be used as other sling type lifting purposes. Easy to use with the sewn in loops. Nice heavyweight to it and a very good value at $13. I'm considering buying more for gifts at this value price.

So, this is a typical 3 inch x 8 foot strap, which claims a 30,000 lbs. (15T) MBS. Eh, many of these 3 inch straps claim anywhere from 12-18T MBS, but I never see an independent certification or even a breaking demo to really know. This strap seems well made, measures at 2 3/4” wide, and is less robust than another 3”x8’ strap I have (that claims 18T MBS)….but also seems on par with most modern tow straps I’ve encountered. The WLL for straps is anywhere from 1/5 to 1/3 of MBS depending on your safety/risk appetite…and that’s static tensile load. Load falls/yanks/acceleration change the load physics significantly. So maybe keep the load under 5T (WLL) strait use/mode to be safe…or 10T if used as a tree saver/basket-mode…and minimize yanks (i.e. gentle pulls).Bottom Line:In general it’s a good (almost) 3 inch “tree-saver”, but less robust than another similar strap I have, but on par with most. Again, there is no independent testing or demonstration of claimed strength, but should work just fine for normal/moderate uses. And as always, be safe and aware when working with any significant forces/loads.

I wanted another tree saver. Wrap the strap around a tree and then lock the two ends together to use as a pivot point for a cable to pull trees, get unstuck, etc. You could use a chain, but that rips apart the trees. I already have a 4" tree saver, but needed another. Comparing the two, this is a much more heavy duty strap that actually can handle 3x the tensile strength of my 4" strap. This strap is 3" wide and has 3 reinforced stitching along the entire length. It handles 10,000 lbs load and max breaking strength of 30,000 lbs. The ends are looped back a good distance and the eye loops are further reinforced to avoid abrasion. When comparing this strap to my 4" strap, in the pictures the dirty strap is the 4" strap I already have, you can see how much of the end of the strap is stitched back onto the strap. This strap overlay is maybe 2 times longer. This provides much more strength to the eye loops from coming apart.I was surprised by how well this was designed and made. It should be an excellent for pulling out UTVs and a good tree saver belt. Highly recommend.

Ordered this Tow Strap - 8' Long - 30,000 Lb Rated Pulling Strap/Rope for use in my work. I dig trenches for water, electric, fiber optics, and drainage problems and always digging in the ground for burial of the above lines.Since I'm always digging in the earth, I'm always dealing with wetness, mud, and water pools and getting my machines"stuck in the mud". I've always used a long chain or winch strap and dealing with both has always been a pain as when trying to get the strap/rope undone and tied knots is difficult and time consuming. Recently while shopping online for some tow hooks, I saw this 30,000 Lb rated tow strap that is 8' long with built in loops on both ends. After reading about it's strength, design, and the nice length of 8' long, I ordered it. This was an excellent addition to my emergency pull outs for my machines as now when I get stuck, I can just hook the loop over my hitch ball and to my trencher pull ball and quickly pull it out of trouble with my truck and be back to digging in no time. It saves me a lot of time and headaches from dismantling my old open ended ropes/winch straps/chains. This nice tow strap is made well and is of good quality as it's sewn well and the loop ends are as well. It's one tough and strong rope!. Happy with orderIt easily earns a (5) star rating in my opinion

This strap is very nice. The length is a little short, but depending on the use that could be a pro... though for me I'd pretty much always rather have a little more length.I used this to pull a Chevy 2500 up a muddy hill with no issues at all, no signs of any fraying or premature damage.

This GEELLI 3" x 8ft heavy-duty tow strap is a solid piece of gear. The 30,000 lbs rating gives confidence for pulling trucks, ATVs, and SUVs out of tough spots. The triple reinforced loops feel sturdy and well-stitched, and the material itself is thick but flexible enough to work with winches or shackles. At 8 feet, it's a great size for tree-saving applications or short recoveries. Used it a few times off-road, and it held up perfectly. No fraying, no stretching—just solid performance. A must-have in any recovery kit.
