Installed this on our farm house on the acreage for if we have long term power loss. This allows us to hook up a generator to run certain required appliance like fridge, freezers and some lights until the power is restored. This is a great set cord is nice and heavy but still pliable. Highly Recommended

High quality power cord by itself would typically run about what this kit costs that also includes a weatherproof outlet box and a carrying handle. While the handle doesn't seem the highest quality, the outlet box is quite sturdy appearing. Connections seem tight and cord seems very durable. Anticipate many years of use from this. Will update with any quality or durability issues should they arise but I would definitely consider buying this again should I need another

Good quality cord that isn’t so long that I have to roll it up. The inlet box was easy to install on my panel, but I have a lot of experience doing electrical, a lot of people would probably hire a pro. Wire insulation seems good quality. Happy with this.

This power entry set is one of the better I've seen. The power entry box is put together nicely and is quite strong. The spring loaded cover for the connector seals the opening against fingers, water, and bugs well. The box also has knockouts on the back and both sides giving you a lot of flexibility when installing on the side of your building or trailer. The cord is of the same good quality. The jacket is a bright yellow consistent with a lot of shop drop cords. The connectors are molded construction and are just as robust as my other cords. They mate to the outlet box and my other cords securely and I have had no issues. The cord is 15ft, which is a minimum length for me usually. Installation of the outlet box is straightforward, but if you are doing this to a house, you should get an electrician or at least have one check your work to maintain code. A handy storage bag and cord keeper is included. The bag is ok, but the keeper is most useful. I have paid more at a big box store for just the outlet box than this set sells for, so its not a bad buy for the money.

this comes with a water tight box to mount on the outside of your house that you then can wire to your transfer switch. the cord is good quality with twist lock connectors. this is what you need for safely connecting your generator to your house , or RV. good quality

Installed in our building we have an extra fridge and couple of freezers in to easily hook up a genny after we lost power for a month during Hurricane Helen and lost all our perishable food we could not cook or eat before it went bad. Now we can just hook up to a genny and keep our food if it happens again. Plan on ordering more for other buildings we need power to from a generator. Well made easy to install.

This seems to be a good quality bit of kit. 15ft is plenty of length and the included power inlet box seems to be sturdy enough for intermittent use. The fact that the holes are all pre-drilled is great because I've had other boxes of this type that had "knock outs" that didn't really knock out properly and had to be drilled with an expensive step-bit. The included carrying case and hanging strap are a nice touch! All you need is some 10/3 nm romex cable and a 30 amp 220v breaker and an interlock kit to get your house generator ready!
