"Crispy Bacon," of course, is a great piece. There are other good catchy tunes and some that aren't inspiring at all. Instrumentally, it has the good elements of early techno music.

By the time this album was released M. Garnier had a number of productions to his name but was predominantly known as a DJ. The productions tended to be hit and miss, including his debut album 'Shot in the Dark', then he turns 30 and releases a real coming of age classic. We all knew he had it in him, when his productions had been good, they were very good and his label F Communications had been consistently of quality pre-dating tech-house.What we have here is a consistent selection of tracks leaning more towards techno than house, 'Crispy Bacon' could have been made by Underground Resistance, a timeless dancefloor bomb. There's enough variation here to keep things interesting and also makes for a versatile product, it works as home listening, in the car, on the dancefloor etc. The truest test however is that of time and years on this still sounds fresh, exciting and classic. Laurent Garnier at his peak as a recording artist.

What can I say? This was one of his ealier albums, he had a lot of great concepts but had yet to find the refining he needed. Some of the tracks drone on for too long, much more trance styled in that some repeat too much. Also I am a big critic on recording merit. His newer albums are recorded much better, this entire cd kinda falls flat. No sharp, bright, crackling highs and no low, rumbling, rolling lows. Sorry Laurent, this one is 3 at best.

Hmmmmmmm.... I was disappointed with this one. I've seen Garnier live before and I was very impressed with his set. "30" is my first CD of Garnier's. To say the least, this CD was a bore to me. There is only one track that I liked and that was "Flashback". This CD is way overrated and so is the track "Crispy Bacon". Avoid this one and maybe try something else of Garnier's.

he's the godfather of techno. All tracks are great and uplifting, especially "Flashback", "The Hoe" and of course the brilliant "Crispy Bacon". It's one of the best techno tracks I've ever heard, it's unbelieveable. I don't know how he does it, but I hope he keeps making music like this. Looking forward to see him on the Werchter festival this year. "Le Voyage De Simone" is one of my favs. It can make me cry. If you love this, then you should buy "Unreasonable Behauvior", "A Shot In The Dark" or "Club Traxx Ep".
