Overall these have worked nicely for adding additional support to an existing structure.My only gripe is with the width of the opening, which seems to be about 1/8" wider than other ties of a similar design. I have had to deform a couple of these to ensure a good fit.Aside from the fiddly opening side, these have worked out great. Using these with 4d nail and not screws - I did test them to see how easily they deform under stress. I only induced failure by actively jumping on the form over and over like an angry toddler; I'd say these hold up just fine compared to the equivalent local product.
