Went from a tweco stinger that is similar in design but unfortunately is discontinued to this. This stinger blows it out of the water, it seems durable and it’s nice that it’s fully insulated and the set screw that holds the head on is recessed so you won’t have to worry about setting it down on anything and arcing out. To install on a whip you have to remove the Phillips screw and take the head off, then remove the squeeze handle by pushing out the pin that holds it in place. It will only go in one way. (In my case) I used a long screwdriver to push the brass piece out. Hope this helps!

Could not use the product, the screw to attach the cable to the stinger was broken and therefore the product was useless!!!Also to return the product they require me to pay postage!

Arrived on time (in the netherlands) Could not order here. (no longer in stock)The holder is very strong and solid. Strong spring so the rod will not change position at first strike.Dropped holder from 6ft and survived this. So, yes. Good rod holder. :-)
