Review of ”5/64" size 304 Stainless Steel Link Chain, Light Duty Coil Chain...":(Please refer to my reviewing guidelines at the bottom of the page).I ordered this 5/64" chain to use for making wind chimes and it will work very well for that. In fact, it's even heavier duty than really needed but it will look nice. The links are all well formed and with good welds and it is a good quality 304 stainless. The length was close enough to the stated length but I'm including some additional dimensions for those who might be considering if this is the right size chain for their purpose. The individual link length outside dimension is 17.5mm and the individual link width outside is 8.5mm. The link thickness is indeed 5/64 or 2mm. This would most definitely be too light duty for use as a swing chain but it would make a nice chain for the dog run or leash. Or any kind of decorative hanging type use for plants, chimes, or what-not. It's a very nice looking chain.I've done a bit of market research on Amazon for this specific type of product and find that the current price of $22.98 is fairly priced for the market. I did find a larger chain at 1/8" thick that was a better price but would suggest buying 1/8" only if you need that larger chain link for a really big dog, swing, or whatever. It would be too big for the decorative uses this chain is good for.My responsibility as an Amazon Vine Reviewer:Considering the Amazon rules/regulations for being a Vine Member It is obvious that it is very important to Amazon that the person doing the review has indeed inspected, tested, used the product as well as being aware of the competitive situation of the market segment. This is so it can be fairly compared and reviewed whether good, bad, average, or anywhere in all of the grey area between. One thing that I wish were better defined by Amazon is exactly what each star should represent from 1 to 5 so that every Vine member would use the same guide in that regard. So, to let you know the guide that I use, I include it as follows:I always start off considering that average is 3 stars, and an average rating to me is:The product was correctly represented in the ad.The manufacturing quality is as expected. The product performed as intended. The product operating/user guide if needed is helpful. The product is priced accordingly. Then after inspection, measuring, testing, using, wearing, or whatever is requiredI add or subtract from the average as follows:Subject to additional stars:Additional product features not expected that are useful.Manufacturing quality/performance above what was stated or expected.Included guides and/or useful information that is beyond the norm.Product pricing highly competitive for a superior product.Subject to fewer stars:The product was misrepresented in the ad.Manufacturing quality/performance below what was stated or expected. No useful guide or understandable user information when required.Product pricing is on the high side considering quality, features, or the market.all the best,dr

The 304 Stainless Steel Link Chain measures 5/64 inches in thickness and was 33 feet in length. It was durable enough for my needs to hang some plants. It is made of 304 Stainless Steel so it offers excellent corrosion resistance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoors. The links are thin so it is much less visible for aesthetic purposes. Overall, it was a cost effective choice for hanging and securing tasks.

This review is for the "304 Stainless Steel Link Chain, Light Duty Coil Chain, Heavy Duty Metal Chains,Jack Chain, for Hanging Plant Bird Feeders, Pet, Camping Pulling Towing, Swing,DIY (5/64in-33ft)" Sold by: FeverLZong StoreThis is a mid-lightweight chain with welded links. The attached photos show the product as delivered, neat and clean and conveniently tie-wrapped to avoid the mess chains can become if packed loose. The chain is actually nicer than I expected from the description. I've become accustomed to "light weight" products from the far East. This bucks the norm and presents as a decent quality construct with weight bearing above my expectations. The stainless is only slightly ferritic (minimal cling to a magnet) so I expect it will weather reasonably well and provide a good service life if used outdoors (my major use). This is one of the materials I use to fabricate a variety of wildlife feeders. Typically I use brass chain, but this piqued my interest for a change of style. This stainless chain if priced very competitive and is less expensive than some of the brass chain I've purchase that was non-welded and lower weight capacity.See the attached photos for scale and build quality. For me, the long term life is the defining factor for overall product quality. If this item ends up rusting prematurely I'll update the review.

I did not expect such high quality chain. This is not your typical chrome coated utility, plant hanging chain. This is stainless steel, heavy duty welded closed chain. So many used around the workshop. I replaced the flimsy chain that came with a shop light with this as I saw the simply compressed links expanding. This has tremendous outdoor uses as well since it is stainless, and I plan to use it on the deck and replace the worn out bungee I have holding up bird feeder. Very nice chain. I will not be pulling tractors with it, but you are hanging decent sized garden tools and shop equipment, as well as unlimited uses around the house. Will probably use in the laundry room as well to support the portable clothes bar instead of the string currently holding it. Lots of uses for this high quality thinner chain.

This review is for the FeverLZong brand ‘304 Stainless Steel Link Chain, Light Duty Coil Chain’ 5/64”, 33’ long.If you’re looking for something as strong as the old ‘dog chains’ people used to use in the 80s and 90s for their pets, this isn’t it. This is instead the sort of chain you use to hang up small objects such as plant pots, or attach to the lid of a hinged wood box to keep the top from flopping back when you open it, or for making a wallet chain. For what it is and when used properly or for decorative purposes, this is great stuff. What this is not, is heavy duty chain. Despite what the description says, DO NOT use this to tow anything that weighs more than a Radio Flyer little red wagon. Definitely don’t try to tow anything with it, much less a trailer, loaded or not. I wouldn’t even hang a porch swing with this chain. It just isn’t substantial enough to safely do these things, even if you cut it into a dozen lengths and attach them all separately, I still wouldn’t trust it for something like that.Overall, it’s some good quality chain for what it is; regardless, whoever wrote the description is begging to get sued when someone tries to tow something heavy with it and gets hurt.
