Not quite as expected! Handle is too short so easy to spill; handle and lid are plastic; not quite high enough and cream drips once poured.

First, this gravy pitcher looks as though it will function quite well for its designed purpose.However, the only material mentioned in the description is stainless steel. This is misleading.The main vessel is indeed a high-quality stainless steel. But the upper rim, lid, and handle are all made of plastic, which is attached in some manner to the stainless bowl, potentially compromising the seal between these components in the long run.Looking at the comparable products shown on Amazon, this kind of construction is most likely true of all of the other items as well.I'm not returning the item, but I would have liked to see more honesty up front in the product description. I might have shopped a little longer with other retailers.

The container did keep the gravy warm however pouring was a challenge. If not held a certain way either too much or too littlepoured out,

The boat is well made, functional, and holds a large amount of liquid. Very pleased! If it had a spring loaded lid it would be even better!
