These safety pins are a little ess than expected. They come in a case with divisions for the five different sizes. My case cracked in the corner right away. They don’t feel as hefty to me as the standard safety pins, so I don’t think they can hold as much together when closed I see them as mostly to use as decorative, or in crafting. The gold color is pretty.

This is a very handy set of safety pins or 5 different sizes. Safety pins are always useful, and I use them all the time for crafts or sewing. You also want to pack at least a few in your bag just in case something happens to your clothes or you lose a button and you don’t have time to sew it. It’s great to have different sizes 320 is plenty and should last me a while. Everything is organized in a box with dividers.

This kit might work well for certain types of safety pin jewelry, but it’s not very versatile for beaded projects because the pins have coils. While you can thread beads onto the arm of the pin (the part with the point), you can’t slide them onto the shaft because the coil blocks the way. Threading beads onto the arm only isn’t ideal, since opening the pin may cause the beads to fall off.The jewelry shown in the product description is one way to use these pins, and I’m sure there are techniques where the coil isn’t an issue. But my daughter, who got the kit, was a bit disappointed and would have preferred coil-less safety pins, which are apparently a thing. In my opinion, if you’re selling a kit specifically intended for beaded jewelry, it would make more sense to include coil-less pins, since they’re better suited for the task.That said, the pins themselves are sturdy and well-made. I’m no expert, but they seem heavy-duty and functional. The beads are okay—plastic—and the round ones are very small, which works for the smaller pins but doesn’t suit the thicker gauge of the larger ones.Looking on the bright side, if my daughter doesn’t use them for jewelry, at least we can still use the pins for clothing or general household use.

If I had paid attention to the product pictures, I would not have ordered this set.The set includes 3 different sizes of safety pins. Not craft pins, but regular safety pins.Regular safety pins can be used for beading crafts, but I learned a couple of decades ago just how much of a pain that is. Their product pics do show loosening the loop area at the bottom of the pin to be able to slide the beads or the other pins of beads - depending on which design you choose and which pin will need to be used to attach to the fabric. Then you have to close the loop up again. Craft pins do not have that loop at the bottom, only regular safety pins.I did check the alphabet beads - there are 3 of each letter. Plus my set somehow ended up with an extra "i" - good for my set, but that means some other set is likely short a letter.Lots of little plastic beads in red, white, blue, and black. It was tiring enough to check the alphabet beads, so I did not even try to count the small beads.The re-usable organizer that the supplies arrived in is not one of my favorite types, so I don't know yet whether or not I will re-use it at some point.

These are terrible. The tip of every safety pin I checked (several dozen) is rough. Apparently these were stored in an area that allowed moisture to collect at the tip where the pin is held in pace is rough. Above that it's fine. This means that there is a high possibility that the fabric you are pinning could be damaged. I threw out the entire box. (The box, by the way, is so difficult to open, I broke my fingernail.) Don't buy these!

I felt that it was important to show you a test of how they work on tough clothing before writing a review. So, I put them through the material on my jacket for you as you can see - each and every size. It was not like going through butter. However, with every safety pin I have ever tried, you have to push them pretty hard to get them through thick material. I have had many before that did not pass this test.So, I am really glad that these ones passed my test!😃There are 5 sizes that you receieve and all of them are shown here. The first 2 sizes, the largest ones, are shown in the 3rd photo and you can see that the largest one is 2”. And the last 3 are measured for you in the last photo showing that the smallest is 1”.For me, these are the best choices to have so I highly recommend them!🏆

This is the perfect set of pins for crafts or just to have on hand ! I like the black finish nd they’re well made nd sturdy.. we use the larger ones to add beads to and pin them on our jackets or cardigans - they’re a Lot of fun!

There are only three elements I can think of that matter in safety pins. One is are they so lightweight that they bend easily, second are they sharp and third are they in a good container where the sizes won't get all mixed up. These pins pass with flying colors on all counts.This is a good size assortment, the pins are exactly as shown in the description pictures and I was very happy with how sharp they are.
