Wrapped an expensive wooden handled hammer. No fuss really, worked great but don't over do the heat cuz it will turn into like a hard plastic

Shrank it in the kitchen with low fire . Worked like a charm. Will it last? Who knows. I have plenty of tubbing to do it again a few more times. Super easy.

I put a 1 -3/4" climbing rope on my grand kids play set, but after the rope got wet and then dried out it frayed and it was really hard on their hands. I added this and now it is PERFECT.

If this would really shrink the full 2 to 1 ratio the 2" diameter should have fit well on my 1" diameter grips. As you can see, there wasn't any way to mess this project up mathematically. The best I could do with my heat gun the grip material only shrunk to about 1-1/4". I tested a scrap piece and the flat width of 78mm only shrunk to 45mm. That isn't 2 to 1. The result was a much looser fit than I wanted. Servicable but not great.

I guess you get what you pay for. I have bought what I thought were the same before and they held up very well. This one was cheap so I bought it. It already shows signs of wear after just a few times of using it on my jigging rod. Obviously, even though it looks the same as the ones I bought in the past the rubber it is made from is not the same quality. Pay a little more you won't regret it.

The fishing pole wrapping is very easy to use and good quality material very easy to install on fishing pole handle can easily be cut to needed size
